Blago was trying to sell off the Senate seat for personal gain.

Patterson will make a deal with the Kennedys to give that seat to Princess Caroline for some form of consideration.

How is each action by these Gov's not the same?

Not defending either action. Just observing.

In regard to the selection process Patterson has said, "what I'm trying to keep away from is lobbying, coercion, and distracting information. I'm sure everybody has an opinion and pretty much everyone is not averse to expressing it. And everyone has a right to their opinion. I hope they express it. What I'm trying to do is to meet with all the candidates and find out which would be the best to serve New York."

Paterson decries talk about Senate

I'm sure that with the increased scrutiny of the Ill. gov. the Feds are going to be on the NY governor's ass in regard to NY's senate seat.

@gungasnake,
Kennedys apparently do not run for Senate seats anymore. It may be an entitlement.

What the heck are you talking about. Teddy runs and wins every six years.

We like him.

@ebrown p,
YOU may like him (I doubt you speak for everyone), yet he seems to run either unopposed or buys the election.

@Woiyo9,
I have a feeling he speaks for about 80% of the voters in Kennedy's state. Finding opponents for Kennedy is hard because he is so popular.

You on the other hand only seem to speak for someone who is not a Kennedy constituent and has no clue about voting in that state.

@Woiyo9,
How do you know which "someone" I said you spoke for?

I don't think I can ever match you for "assiness."
