He has had a good day. The lady in the picture is his calabash cousin Ingrid Gutberg who is a concert pianist and master organist. They came over on the boat together from

The use of the calabash in Hawaii has led to terms like "Calabash Family" or "Calabash Cousins". It indicates that an extended family has grown up around shared meals and close friendships.

@Izzie,
There has to be some mistake here.

I mean, does the person in this photograph look like he's been sick, or having a difficult time in any way what-so-ever?:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo324/IzzieLzzie/BirthdayBoy.jpg

No!
This person is obviously in rude health & he looks pretty damn happy too!

So what have they done with the real Merry Andrew?

.... Just kidding around, Andrew.

All the very best for your birthday & I really hope it won't be too long before you can fly off to that wonderful rest/holiday that Seaglass has planned for you.

@msolga,
... & I really hope that you can find away around being sent home from the hospital before you're able to care for yourself. (This sort of treatment of people by hospitals makes me very, very angry!)
