I meant permanently shifted with your parents -- things were pretty messed up for a while there. Not sure if just "Hey, I'm staying!" would get things back to the old normal. Sounds like things have settled down pretty well though...?

yes and no - still strained, but at least they are talking more.

Funny at one time (prior to all the move stuff), we talked about buying a house with an in-law apartment or suite. My husband mentioned with us staying in a couple of years looking at a house and mentioned the in-law thingy. I told him I wasn't sure how I felt about it now. Not that I don't care for my family, just not sure if I would want them in the same home now.

Linkat - I am so thankful that things are going well with your job and you were able to go and enjoy a great vacation with your family. I hope things get better between you and your folks. Thanks for letting me know how things are !
