@realjohnboy,
I've enjoyed two sites more than any other when it comes to electoral votes - Pollster.com and fivethirtyeight.com. 538 predicts:

And so shall I.

@nimh,
I like 'your' map best, but I think Obama will end up with more than 311. I'm thinking "landslide."

@realjohnboy,
rjb, I agree that Obama will pick up Florida; a huge loss for the GOP.

@cicerone imposter,

Yeah, that landslide talk worked out real well last time - let's all hope that nothing changes this go round.

@cicerone imposter,
With regards to FL: I am thinking that the Jewish voters, who were cool to Obama at one point are swinging his way. And the "Hispanic" voters - however you define that group (which is too complicated to go into now) are also. I hear that the younger generation of Cubans are more inclined to see a dialogue opened with the post Castro(s) regimes. Is that an accurate reading?

I won't bother to post a new map, but I'm going for your map plus GA and IN in Obama's corner for 390 total.
.. btw the same map predicted by the founder of daily kos.

georgia has already cast 1,990,000 votes where in 2004 they had cast a total of 3,3 million, so the dems GOTV has moved an obama majority to the polls already.

i'm with you (and kos), and add montana so add three EVs to obama, for 393, mccain 145

I believe the winner by total tally will be Occom Bill (only thing you have to do is exchange Missouri and Indiana, as things look like right now).

But I think I was the closest overall, analytically.
My 338 votes are exactly those on Obama's account at the moment.
The toss-ups were the toss-ups.

North Carolina was the state I was most hesitant about.
Indiana is reassuringly surprising me.
Never had Rockhead's faith in Missouri (I learned English in St. Louis, and visited the heartland... George Wallace country back then). Still don't.

@fbaezer,
Well, we both blew Indiana... happy surprise, that! (and only by a fraction of a point... 22,718 votes. (<-Close!)) We may have to wait awhile for Misery and NC... crazy close! (I hope those that didn't exercise their right to vote learn a lesson.) Currently, of our remaining potential errors:
NC: 12,163 vote lead for Obama. (<-Closer!)
MO: 5,853 vote lead for McCain. (<-Closest Wink)

All three are by fractions of a point, so I don't think our heads need to be hung in shame. Well done!
