@FreeDuck,
Yes he's going out with class.
@FreeDuck,
Concession speechs are always sad. I'm ready to hear Obama's speech now!
Wow, look at that crowd surrounding the White House.
I would never have thought that i would see in my life-time, the election of an American of African descent to the office of President. I remember the Jim Crow world, i remember the civil rights movement, i remember hearing for the first time about a preacher from Georgia named Martin Luther King.
I am very, very proud of my nation.
Wow, wonderful gracious concession speech.
@CalamityJane,
Probably one of the best speeches given in the campaign. I mean that. I mean that very sincerely. I'll come back to that in a day or so.
@FreeDuck,
Oh, Duck, thank you for all your posts upon posts. I don't know about anyone else, but I've seen you as temperate and sane on top of that.
So, love a duck!
@joefromchicago,
And a very gracious, brave concession speech it was. Odd how he seemed to sometimes have to fight down the crowd in front of him, which didnt quite seem to share his sensibility.
Just talked to our map maker for tomorrow's edition.
"OK, keep on blue all the blues; these two whites, paint them blue; these two reds, hold them as whites"
@ossobuco,
You are too generous, osso.
@Butrflynet,
Oh really? Missed that.
Oy, my eyes and nose hurt...
@FreeDuck,
Still waiting to hear from Obama. Just imagine what it will be like when he makes his speech!
@Lambchop,
"Awaiting President-Elect Obama"
damn it's good to see that
@sozobe,
Can Bush leave the WH early?
Please? Can he? Huh????
@sozobe,
Of the many wonderful things that have happened tonight, one that just struck me is that it's so nice to have a great big decisive victory. Not a squeaker, no hanging chads to worry about. Lovely.
@Butrflynet,
Neck and neck for NC, Indiana, and Missouri. It's a mandate.
