@ehBeth,
There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight!
A diverse SEA of people--all colors--gathered in Grant Park, Chicago, are waving flags & cheering!
@ehBeth,
I'm 'spectin a checkin from JPB and #1 daughter shortly, I will update as I can y'all...
(woohoo the good guys)
I haven't had any say in this election at all. I'm on the other side of the world, and I'm feeling emotional about what's just occurred. I see it as the day the US finally grew up.
NBC just called the election for Obama
@joefromchicago,
Now maybe we can get some decent healthcare in this country for once!
WHEEEEEEE!
@ehBeth,
Another friend of mine is too -- I'd so love to be there. Hoping for reports!
@Butrflynet,
Butryflynet, all your hard work paid off. Thank you.
I can't remember ever feeling this good about an election. Part of my happiness is because we are finally giving Bush & Greed Co. the boot, but it's mostly because I believe we have finally elected an intelligent, honorable person to the most important office in the world. I'm really proud of my country for the first time in a long time.
@FreeDuck,
You too, FD. You folks started the ball rolling! How does it feel to be a trend setter?
@Cycloptichorn,
What's amazing is that Obama not only got Flordia, but Arizona too!
@Butrflynet,
Oh, I didn't do much more than send in about a $100 in total and flap my gums to anyone who would listen. But this is the very first time in my life that I was able to vote for someone I actually believe will be a good president. Somebody I wanted to vote for. And then he actually won! The historical significance is just a bonus for me.
@CalamityJane,
McCain concedes.
Cheap domestic champagne has never tasted so good.
Since i don't take ardent spirits . . . someone belt one back for me, 'K?
OK, this made me cry -

I'm not elaborating that, it's just one of many... indeed tame in its way.
It's an overall mandate for the dems.
The People have spoken.
