Restaurant Offers Free Pizza for Obama Signs

Some say a Warren restaurant's tempting offer is nothing but a dirty campaign trick. The local pizzeria is offering free pizza in exchange for some campaign signs. FOX 2's Brad Edwards explains how that offer may have prompted some hungry bargain hunters to break the law.

Interesting idea, but I don't approve. The law is the law.

@McGentrix,
Obama signs cost three dollars and are a donation to the campaign. It's easy to buy signs. I think I would buy a sign and trade it in for a pizza. A three dollar pizza and a donation to Obama's campaign sounds fine to me. Around my neighborhood they take sign stealing or defacing very seriously and someone could get a big fine (costing much more than a pizza) if they decided to help themselves. Only a idiot would steal a sign for a pizza - oh, wait we're taking about McCain supporters aren't we - well, never mind.

Yeah, what kind of person would go around stealing campaign signs?

This is a free country and stealing political signs is beyond petty.

I rue the day that Democrats start behaving like Republicans.

And, by the way, the signs stolen, as originally reported, were McCain signs. But, either way, the act is despicable.

@gustavratzenhofer,
Most stolen signs are McCain signs, not the other way around. I won't speculate as to why, but I will say if I were in the sign stealing biz, I wouldn't want to touch an Obama sign that had been previously handled.

I find it quite humorous, listening to the far-right radio programs, i.e. Rusty Humphrey, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, and the rest of the obnoxious crew, that they are lamenting the fact (in their minds) that the evil Democrats are somehow manipulating the voting process and the elections will be skewed.

Are these people really that clueless?

Help me out here, cjhsa.

I wish someone would make this offer in my area. I would buy a couple hundred dollars worth of signs and give them away to college students with a note telling them where to trade them for free pizza. I 'd love to see a Republican pizza maker hand out dinner like a food pantry at Thanksgiving.

To break WHAT law ??
Political signs typically posted on telefone polls
are abandoned property. What right have thay to be there ?
This issue woud only make sense if signs were being stolen
from private property (e.g., from a supporter 's yard).

Did everyone forget that the opposition always tears them down
when thay find them ? Y shoud this election be any different ?

@gustavratzenhofer,
I think the polls along with the media have been extremely skewed in favor of the messiah. Obama is the worst candidate the democraps have yet offered - Kerry was only slightly better. But he speaks well when teleprompted.

Why are the demonrats so anti-american? I don't get it. Why do they think they can get blood from a turnip?

Maybe thay were trying to generate an emotional bandwagon effect,
or to demoralize the GOP.

This is true, but he shoud be given proper credit for carrying the groceries.

Original Americanism, both the cause and the result of
the US Constitution: simply living your life in freedom,
playing it straight with property is how we started off.

Later, liberalism, i.e., veering off from playing it straight
was born as the philosophy of the thief, the parasite; like fleas on a dog.

The poor wanted to use democracy to rip off the more successful.
Thay used their votes to elect politicians who will pass laws to do that for them,
or who will misinterpret extant law to do that for them.

In other words, thay thought is was safer n more effective
to use a ballot box than a mask and a gun.

The Democratic Party represents that constituency.

@OmSigDAVID,
One would think that a member of Mensa would be able to produce something more than a broken record.
