One does have to realise the military implications. $700 billion would fix a lot of equipment shortage problems I should imagine.

There was an inquest today here where ten Mums and Dada were mourning their dead sons for want of about £20 million to improve the equipment. One of the fat cats bought some daubings on a canvas recently for more than that at a posh swap meet.
