I am going to be doing a college assignment on the portrayal of gays in the media. As part of it, I have to critically analyze three sites based on gays. A simple Google search is leading me nowhere--all it turns up are porn sites!
Could anyone lead me to some good relevant sites?
Uh, and what's about the new A2K look? I am confused and can't get my way around....
ETA: Incidentally, if you've come across interesting newspaper articles (preferably online), then I would like to consider them too for my purposes. Thanks!
@spidergal,
Hi spidergal. Just bumping your request.
The new site takes patience and practice. You'll be fine.
Read up a bit. Check the blog and ask questions if you get lost.
I'll ask around for good sites later today if I can.
@Joeblow,
Sorry. I've got nothing specific.
You might try a GLBT search for a better sample, and/or try contacting some legitimate agencies that assist/support the GLBT community, for recommendations.
@spidergal,
Maybe you can contact someone from/ follow links from
www.glaad.org?
@tarakesh,
That seems perfect (!)Tarakesh.
Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) might be a good resource:
http://community.pflag.org/Page.aspx?pid=194&srcid=-2
That link looks goofy, if it doesn't work Google PFLAG.
