Quote:
Although Fox and Friends may have been trying to imply that the greater the size of the pin, the greater one’s patriotism, the real reason Palin’s pin was big and sparkly is because she was wearing a brooch. They are often ornamented with gemstones and more typically worn by women, explaining why Biden did not wear the same item.

Additionally, during the first presidential debate, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) wasn’t wearing a flag pin at all, whereas Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) was.

@Robert Gentel,
Now THERE'S a different take on the old "Let's settle this once and for all....just whip 'em out and measure 'em."

@dlowan,
Did anyone else notice that during the first Obama-McCain debate, one of the contestants wasn't wearing a flag pin?

Shocking.

@ebrown p,
There's something weird about how you always appear on my screen, ebrown. There is always only one thumb by your name...it's a green thumbs up, and it is three times the size of all the other thumbs.

But you are correct, not wearing a flag pin is the sign of a commie terrorist.

Edit. Doh...I finally get it...the damn thumb is your avatar.

(Beats forehead in horror at own slowness)

The fellow making the suggestion here is Steve Doocy. He is perhaps the reigning stupidhead on Fox (tough competition). It was Doocy who first forwarded the proposition that Alaska's proximity to Russia gave Palin a splendid grounding in foreign affairs (which was then repeated by Cindy McCain, then John McCain, then Palin herself and then, of course, Tina Fey).

@Robert Gentel,
I'm gonna have to say this is a subtle self-satire....

I didn't think anyone at Faux News had a sense of humor.
