@JTT,
Eureka! That's the "poll" I was looking for where I heard or saw the chart that shows Obama with over 300 electoral votes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Oooops! Maybe it was the Dick Morris' map. LOL

Even with the 50 votes from the toss-up states, there's no way for McCain to catch up.

@cicerone imposter,
I sure hadn't been expecting that newsmax email with Dick Morris showing such a large electoral lead for Obama.

@ehBeth,
Not only will Senator Obama and Senator Biden win the Presidency and Vice Presidency, the Democrats will gain enough Senate seats to assure a veto proof majority and then President Obama will be able to push for all of the legislation which is good for America. If three Supreme Court seats are open in the next four years, President Obama will be able to assure that progressive legislation by the Senate and House is not overturned by conservatives like Roberts, Scalia and Thomas.

Great God Almighty--Is it possible? Free at last!!!

@ehBeth,
The Morris map shows Alaska is "strongly McCain." That's wrong; that state is strongly Palin, and I would venture there are other states "strongly Palin" over McCain.

@barackman28,
yeap we need that 60 in the senate, since Dole is tanking in NC against Hagen, Lunsford is one point behind the senate minority leader Mcconnell in Kentucky, with Franken near Coleman in Minnesota, Musgrave near Wicker in Mississippi, and Merkley ahead of incumbent Smith in Oregon 60 Democratic senators could be elected in 2008.

if we find that by october 20-25 that Obama is ten points ahead in the national polls the GOP will likely not be able to get out the vote and this will help democrats down ticket.

with 60 democratic senators, dare we think about repealing taft hartley? after all if the GOP claims that what is good for america is easing restrictions on the market what is wrong with easing the restrictions on organized labor?

@Woiyo9,

Nate Silver over at FiveThirtyEight.com as essentially accused realclearpolitics.com of cherry picking the polls to favor McCain.

@kuvasz,
A great idea. The Taftr Hartley Law has always been an abomination and working men and women in this country have not had fair salary raises now for twenty five years. And , if the elitists want to move their businesses and manufacturing to other countries, let them. The US Government will move in and set up jobs for willing workers!

And in the follow-up, RCP got mad, but wouldn't give any actual reasoning behind why they made the decisions they did.

I think that Nate was right on on this one...

@Woiyo9,
WOIYO 9--Everybody knows that Real Clear Politics is just a house organ for the Republicans. Look at Gallup instead. They have the real goods and they are much more experienced in polling than Real Clear Politics.

THE Dow Jones is heading for 7,000 according to the Daily Kos. The Republicans have really screwed it up.

@barackman28,
The Daily Kos knows very little, and what they do know has nothing to do with the stock market.

Please base your personal financial decisions on the advice of the Daily Kos.

If you do, chances are that when you go broke, your creditors will seize your computer and we won't have to endure your inane drivel.

@ehBeth,
Of course, the bailout made an impression on the American Boobacracy. Now, we will just have to wait to see whether the McCain camp really takes off the gloves to show that Obama is a creature of the most corrupt city in America--Chicago!
