Can MRIs and CAT Scans cause cancer?

@gollum,
They tell me that CAT scans involve very low dosages of radiation. Still, they do use ionizing radiation. This is not the case with MRIs, so I don't suppose there is any risk of cancer there.

I'm sure that any exposure to radiation from MRIs and CAT scans is at very acceptable levels like when your dentist takes x-rays.

farmerman, My dentist took about 25 x-rays once some years ago that really concerned me, so I called my brother-in-law dentist to ask if that was okay. He said "yes." Since it was many years ago, and I've not suffered any side-affects from it, as far as I know, I believe him. I'm sure he wouldn't want to see his sister become a widow. LOL
