@OmSigDAVID,
I can assure that I, not a bad ass or one who pretends to be... would happily kill some asshole who tried that in my home.... and go right back to sleep with an un-elevated heart rate after they dragged his body off.

Something is very fishy about this story.

Admittedly, I don't know much about how rapists think. But, wouldn't you commit a crime in the with the least chance of getting caught? Breaking into a occupied house with rope and a gag doesn't sound like a plan that anyone would try.

This sounds like a goofy plot to a police drama. I don't buy it.

You are suggesting that the father, the mother, and the daughter conspired to murder this man?

That is certainly a theory that I don't buy.

The deceased was a convicted sex offender. The sad fact is that smart criminals generally either don't get caught, or don't get convicted. My point being that this guy was probably stupid.

Let us be mindful although the deceased attempted a brutal act of violence--his death ought not be classified as cool.
Why the hell not? The "system" had already demonstrated it's ineffectiveness on at least one previous conviction for a sexually deviant crime. There will be no need for another one. That's cool. It's also, cheap, fair, efficient, and right. One less violent A-hole to ever worry about again. I think this is very cool.

Yeah; I 'll stipulate to all of that.
