Hey Joe - what about you? And blogging? Wink

You can count on me to provide scholarly, erudite, cutting-edge analysis of politics and current events, as, I think, is evidenced by my previous posts in this thread.

observationalist.org ?

observationalist.com is already taken, alas -- well, it's parked by godaddy.com, which I guess means that you can still get it, but have to pay more for it Confused

I sent Dag an email and a link to this thread -- no idea whether she'd even remotely have the time, but she'd perfectly fit the profile, I think...

@nimh,
I completely agree.

And it'd be good to have an international flavor.

I like observationalist... would be nice to have it be a .com tho...

alwayssurprised.com? It's free, anyway...

Egh.. I'm not good at this

I was hoping for thewonderer.com -- you know, 'cause I'm the wonderer yeah the wonderer / I roam around around around... Razz

But .com is parked, only .org and the others are free.

Hhmmm ... how many are we? Or will we be? Cause these are all still free:

themagnificentfour.com
magnificentfour.com
themagnificentfive.com
magnificentfive.com
themagnificenteight.com
magnificenteight.com

@nimh,
Now if we'd only get the guys (Thomas, Old Europe and Fbaezer), we'd be the magnificent eight ;-)

@nimh,
Fab!!

Five so far I think. You me engineer FreeDuck Dag. Joe seems to be implying interest but he's too inscrutable, I can't tell. (Joe?) 3 mins/ 3 wimmins would be good.

@sozobe,
A very timid bookmark. I lost track of All Things American in the last weeks, busy catching up with New Life, but I am feeling the European waters again.

I like Plog so far the best of all options. Fun to say. Probably taken.

Blogger is super easy to set up and navigate. New blog can happen in a matter of seconds.

@nimh,
Right, those guys too! OK so maybe wimmins will be outnumbered. That's OK.

I don't think we'll be able to have a definite number beforehand. Looks like five so far though.

Oooh I like this one!

@dagmaraka,
"plog" seems taken.

Robert's gonna set things up as soon as we decide on a domain name! (Thanks again Robert!) Promote and everything.

@sozobe,
Politalkers:

- Scans as "political"
- Available!
- Poli = poly = many

@sozobe,
Globserver is also available.

dunno if i like politics in the title...it's more than just that, eh? society, culture, state of the humanity...but that's just my personal allergy to anything singularlypolitical.

Hm - I had all these clever ideas and they're all already taken.

OK, maybe they werent so clever.

Like templation.com - that's already a site for New York City Temp Agencies
Or metadome.com - that's the site of a Detectable Warning Systems company
Or prettyinblue.com - already taken by someone, if not actually a site. OK, that name would only work in an American context anyway.

All are still available as .org etc...

The only two .coms that are still available that I came up with just now are contembolism.com (you know, contemporary, contemplation, metabolism, something) and cotemplation.com. But on review they're both pretty lame actually.

A blog for procrastinating prognosticators =

procrastignators.com

That one's still free. Hard to pronounce tho. Bit dense too.

OK, seriously, I'm available to contribute. In fact, I have a couple of law-related blog-like articles that I've been looking for a place to post.

Another very timid bookmark..! I would definitely read that blog!

Have been a bit busy recently, but once I'd get to a point where things are a bit more under control, that's certainly something I'd love to contribute to!
