Question. Are we as a group getting any smarter - at least as measured by our collective winning percentage?
Week #1: .580
Week #2: .531
Week #3: .603
Week #4: .517
Week #5: .617
Week #6: .507 (except for Cowdoc we stank)
Week #7: .633
Week #8: .592
Week #9: .596
Week #10: .747
Week #11: .707
Week #12: .637
Week #13: .622
Week #14: .712
Week #15: .650
Week #16: .497
Season to date: .622

This was a dreadful week for most of use. As a group we couldn't hold .500 and we got hurt by many games that didn't go our way. George did very well, going 11-5. McGentrix, Tico and Alex finished okay, considering, at 10-6. Then things started to fall apart. Edgar and Wandeljw finished above .500 at 9-7. Johnboy, ElStud, Jespah, Region, Imur and EhBeth broke even at 8-8.
And then the slide began. Osso, Foxfyre, Ragman, Fbaezer and Mysteryman could only manage 7-9's. Miz Cowdoc at 5-11 outperformed Cowdoc at 4-12. Rockhead perhaps avoided the carnage by not getting picks in beyond the two early games.

The standings after 16 weeks:
1) Ragman (.674 winning %) (1st last week)
2) ElStud (.645) (2nd)
3) McGentrix (.636) (6th)
3) EhBeth (.636) (4th)
5) Wandeljw (.628) (6th)
5) Fbaezer (.628) (5th)
5) Cowdoc (.628) (2nd)
8) Jespah (.624) (8th)
9) Osso (.620) (8th)
10) Edgar (.618) (10th)
11) Johnboy (.611) (11th)
12) Imur (.607) (11th)
13) Tico (.605) (15th)
14) Rockhead (.603) (15th)
15) Foxfyre (.595) (13th)
16) Region (.586) (17th)
17) Miz Cowdoc (.584) (14th)
18) Alex (.578) (18th)
19) George (.570) (19th)
20) Mysteryman (.567) (20)

The best ESPN guy, at .659, would be in 2nd place. The worst, with .592, would stand in 16th.

It strikes me as strange that one week's results could cause much of a change in the standings this long into the season. This week saw McGentrix rise 3 positions while Miz Cowdoc fell by 3.
Sorry for the delay in posting the results. I have kinfolk visiting from Germany enroute to, of all places, Albuerquerque. They love to eat a big lunch followed by a bigger dinner. I can't do that for 3 days in a row.

Thanks for bearing with me on the posting of 2 week's worth of schedules. We are now back to normal with the Week #17 schedule (our last week!) where it belongs. I have gotten a full slate of picks from 11 of yall, plus a couple of games from Rockhead. I hope that we will see the rest by the start of the early games on Sunday.
I note that the NFL has been fiddling with the start times. They moved a couple of early games to later and the Denver-San Diego game from Sunday afternoon to Sunday night. I reckon that game should become the tiebreaker, but I am going to leave the Washington-SanFrancisco game as the tiebreaker since the majority of us have already picked.
Any complaints? Call the NFL.
So it is Washington-San Francisco in the tiebreaker.

@realjohnboy,
Thanks again for the great job you're doing, RJB

Week 17 Picks

Early games:
St. Louis @ Atlanta
New England @ Buffalo
Detroit @ Green Bay
Tennessee @ Indianapolis
NY Giants @ Minnesota ??? Vikes fights for position???
Carolina @ New Orleans
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh
Oakland @ Tampa Bay
Kansas City @ Cincinnati
Chicago @ Houston ??? Texans @ home hard to beat

Late Afternoon games:
Washington @ San Francisco will this happen???
Jacksonville @ Baltimore
Miami @ NY Jets
Dallas @ Philadelphia
Seattle @ Arizona

Sunday Evening:
Denver @ San Diego Broncos have no D; Chargers on a roll

Tie-breaker
Final score: Skins - 49-ers 24 - 21

This is my thinking for now; however, after last week's dismal results, I might tweak these a bit before the game times early Sunday.
