George won, going 13-3, but that wasn't good enough to catch up with Alex, who went 10-6. Alex had a winning% of .572 after #13 vs George's .535 - closer now, but not enough to move him up in the rankings.

I managed to win two of the weeks and I'm in 19th. Amazing.

Last year JPB gave each player statistics on how "consistent" they were week by week as far as correct picks. She could give you an idea about how widely each player fluctuated. Remember, George? Smile

El Stud is out on a working road trip today and tomorrow and probably won't get back before the game starts, so he called in his pick for tomorrow (Thursday) night by proxy:

He picked Chicago.

He'll get in the rest before Sunday.

@realjohnboy,
The Jets have an 8-5 record. Giants 11-2. If George could find it in his heart to love all thing NY (other than the Staten Island ferry), his score would be 12 points better than it is. Where would that put him in the pecking order, I wonder?

@lmur,
If I understand what you are suggesting, Imur, and gave George 12 more wins and 12 fewer losses, he would be in 9th place instead of 19th.

@realjohnboy,
You did understand perfectly, RJB. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

And if George reads this exchange, he should now realise that his irrational hatred is costing him mid-table mediocrity.

Everyone has picked tonight's game. 13 have Chicago vs 7 for New Orleans.

By the way, if anyone is really wanting to be the (bleeping) winner this (bleeping) week, give me a call with an offer. I am pretty sure that my (bleeping) phone isn't being tapped.

As far as I know, you only visited Chicago that one time when me, sublime, joefromchicago, and JPB got to meet you. When did you actually start talking like a Chicagoan, realjohnboy? Smile

(.....and you're getting nothing more than appreciation from me!)

Hatred? Moi?

It's a wonderful town.
