Good day to yall. What's cooking?
My apologies to Alex. I scrolled through the picks for the week and find he posted on Tuesday. We are missing only George.
So a few weeks ago we learned from Rockhead about the Grand Plain Owls and more than we probably wanted to know about where Cowdoc's right arm spent the day. Last week was about belly-dancing from Ehbeth. This week from Mysteryman: hauling coal and chicken guts. This thread is cool.
So all 19 of us have Tennessee over Detroit and Dallas whipping Seattle. Foxfyre, Jespah and both Cowdoc's are picking Philadelphia over Arizona.
The Philly QB, McNabb, is probably reaching the end of a pretty good career. He is not having a good year. I heard today that he did not realize (wasn't told) that an NFL game could end in a tie.
Catch yall later. Take a nap.

OK..with about 2.5 mins to go in the half and the Titans are ahead 35-3. Gee, I wonder if Detroit Lions will catch up?

I'm getting ready to go over a friend's house for T-Day feast. Happy Feast Day to all!

@Ragman,
I am getting killed by Cyclops in Fantasy Football. He has the TN defense.

@Ragman,
I've got the Titan's kicker. Unfortunately, the Lions are so inept the Titans will probably never stall outside of the endzone, and my kicker will only kick PATs.

Aren't we smart. Everyone ends up with 2 wins. Combined score through 2 games: 81-19.

So, if yall have a couple minutes to kill, go to Dailyprogress.com and then (right now) the 2nd headline: Charlottesville Goes Green. The picture shown is my (along with the architect's) project.

Thank you, ehbeth, for doing that. I don't know how to do that sort of thing. I appreciate it. RJB

@ehBeth,
I've appreciated all your sharing through the process - all of it none of my business but way high in my zone of interest. Far as I've ascertained, your architect is a smartie.

So, okay, that's nice, what is your nickname for the place?

@ossobuco,
Adds, increase tree well space. That shown is good, certainly better than that done by the lembrains in Abq, but... more is better, however it can be inched out, even much much more.

I don't mean to sound entirely snotty, but I did place trees and wells around major buildings and I've change my views over the years. Urban trees deal with deprivation for the most part. What is the point of concrete between them?

@ossobuco,
I suspect the point of concrete between the trees is lack of providing expensive irrigation - there are new smart irrigation ways) and lack of need for maintenance (e.g., weeding, removal of dog poop, and so on).

Meantime, we have allees of tortured trees.

There is, I think, a limit to my being able to post in a row on this..

but, rjb, I'm not against your plan.

@Rockhead,
At a guess, that's where something to do with the rainwater collection happens.
