@realjohnboy,
I spent the last two days working cattle in wind and snow. Yesterday, it was actually cool enough that I wore my shirt the entire day. Of course, all three herds were in corrals above 5500 feet. Salmon itself hasn't seen snow in appreciable amounts yet. I keep hoping it will get cold enough to run the approximately 839 starlings that are crapping on my car out of the elm tree for warmer, southern climes. Sadly, that ain't happening yet. Come on, Old Man Winter!

@realjohnboy,
Thanks again for your dilifgent work, RJB. These pre-game-cluster snapshots are always intriguing to me. Must be the stat-freak in me.

A RJB- a change request. Not any team changes...but please change my tiebreaker score :

NY Giants 30-13

@realjohnboy,
I'm not a statfreak Wink , but I was just dropping by to say that I quite like the pre-game snapshots as well. I always marvel that the results can be so variable when we often 'look' so similar upfront.

Fascinating.

o.k. I like statistics, but I am NOT a freak!

Humph. You only picked Minnesota because they've lost every time I've picked them. I suppose you'll want credit if they win too.

Who was the idiot who described St Louis as "hapless?"
The early games are over and I have Mysteryman from KY in the lead with a 7-1 record. Imur and Fbaezer are at 6-2. The rest of us are clustered in the middle. Except for Miz Cowdoc. She, as she feared, made some bad choices resulting in a score of 2-6. Sigh,
Mysterman's picks in remaining games are (no surprise) pretty conservative compared to the rest of us. He could wrap this up easily. Perhaps not.

@realjohnboy,
Well, the first 12 games are in the can, and unless I miscored something, I've achieved my perfect .500. I can't tell you how difficult it is to do that week after week. Smile

Tico's video was cool.
12 games down. I took my anti-stupidity medication this week. Here is how we stand. Mysteryman and Cowdoc are at 9-3. Region and Imur check in at 8-4. Everyone else is pretty much in the middle. One player, whose name I won't mention but it rhymes with osso, is at 4-8.
Mysteryman and Cowdoc both have SD over NE. Region and Imur both have NE. It could be an amusing finish in this, week #6.

Aggghh, I think this has been my worst week ever. Total of 4 winners. (Edit to say I just read your post, Johnboy.)

Well, hey, this will make next week's picks look swell in comparison.

Amusing finish... we've had a few of those today, eh?

Week #6 comes down to a battle between Cowdoc from Idaho and Mysterman from Kentucky. They are tied at 10-3 and don't have to bother looking back at anybody else. No one can catch up. Both have the NYG tonight. So it will come down to total points. The magic number is 43.5. Mysteryman needs for the total points to be 43 or fewer. Cowdoc wants 44 or more.
Full results - and they aint going to be pretty - tomorrow along with the Week #7 schedule.

@ossobuco,
Hmm. Osso, I have a QB named Pennington from Miami, Seems like a nice lad. Good teeth. I could trade him for one of your RB's and Freotte (your new QB) if you are interested.
