i can't do it either, had two people on ignore and then took them off
The question now is: if you've used the "ignore" feature, have you been tempted to open up one of those "ignored" posts/threads?
@joefromchicago,
ALL the time! In fact, they are far more tempting than the threads i can see. I must click on each of them to remember whyi collapsed them.... oh well.
@dagmaraka,
Same here. I've reverted to reopening a lot of them and just using the ignore user for those that continually earn the badge. Only one person has so far.
@joefromchicago,
I have to watch for one of them in the word games. Have to make a note of who the final poster is, or I'd be playing off the wrong word.
@joefromchicago,
Sometimes. Depends on how I'm feeling, what the subject is, and how the discussion is going.
@DrewDad,
Quote:Why is everyone so cagey about who they have on ignore? I'm thinking of adding my list to my sig line.
I've got sig lines on ignore now.
@roger,
I've kept a few in the big sweep since I like two or three of them, however rarely I post on them now. I could get you links, Roger, if you'd like..
@Reyn,
Then you'll miss this: I think your BETA will eventually die from the stress of being eaten.
@ossobuco,
Gee, thanks, osso. Actually, there is a reason I don't see them.
hint, hint
@JPB,
I'm with you. Once I have added someone to my ignore list,
I cloooose the iron door on them.
I only have one guy on ignore,
so chosen because he uses obscene language
and appears to be intentionally offensive.
I do not believe that he is interested in genuine discussion.
However, I must say that I 'd begrudge it to no one
to put me on ignore, if such be his choice.
I have confidence that it will be and (almost certainly) already IS
his choice and their choices.
Years ago, I had what I called "Abuzz Capital Punishment"
which consisted of my not reading someone 's posts,
after those posts had a sufficiently recidivistic history obscenity and hostility.
In such circumstances, the offender just disappeared from my world
and the latter was a better place.

@margo,
Hey there, thanks for the welcome
I'm a Michigan man, born and raised. Nice to meet ya!
Didn't want to be a liar...I decided to use the feature. My choice doesn't reflect a negative attitude about the person, it just clears up a lot of space that I used to scroll. I still feel a bit yucky about it...ah, well. I can always undo it.
I don't know if anybody is in this thread, but I've now set myself to ignore everyone other than cjhsa.
