@Region Philbis,
I think the a2k blog is terrific.
I will miss the hamster at the top of the page at the times there are no recent blog announcements and access is only at the bottom of the page - though I get that its presence there will be a kind of flag to read the blog for something new.
@DrewDad,
(that puhticular hamster prolly works in the Department of Redundancy Department...)
@Region Philbis,
I like the new cover page. It's very clear and almost feels like some of my news sites.

I'm liking what I'm seeing and the evolution that's taking place. I do miss private messages to invite members to a forum. Abuzz had that feature and I always have missed it. I'm going to start a TV discussion of the new show "Fringe," this decade's "The X Files."
Also bringing back "Fractured Flicks" as a Topic -- funny titles and brief plot lines of especially the most pretentious films like:
"The Splashin' of the Christ"
The Romans try to drown Christ with Holy Water until they realized it hadn't yet been invented, so they switched to wine, he got falling down drunk and hit his head on the cross and died. He returns centuries later as a black President of the United States.
@Region Philbis,
I like tags on profile pages (after eagerly loking at mine to see if I had done any nasty, anti-social tagging).
I like the way it opens my doors, lights my cigarettes, laughs at all my jokes and says "I don't know if I can take all that".
@djjd62,
oh yeah -- thought it looked familiar...
Meh, though I see the problem that it is designed to solve is a real one.

Will we have a spelling verifier any time soon/
@Sglass,
Probably not, given that just about every browser has it built-in right now in a way that is better than we can do. Browser-based spell check works fundamentally better than what we can do without browser access, you might want to consider a browser plugin (like this one for ie:
http://www.iespell.com/) if you don't already have it.
