Love all the choices re post order, i.e., new posts, most votes, etc. Terrific.

I like:
- Speed: we did a lot of work to make it fast and we aren't anywhere near finished. Speed and performance will always be a central focus of this software.
-Threaded replies - Now I can see what replies to specific posts were made.
- Auto expanding textarea - the textarea expands as you type, meaning it's nice and small at the beginning but doesn't stay that way if you are writing a long post.
- Navigation - a lot of people aren't used to it yet, but this site's navigation makes a lot more sense than the last one did. The last one had a whole home page area that nobody ever used and new members didn't see where to post questions immediately. It will take getting used to (I'm not used to it yet) but the last one made no sense most of the time and we were simply used to ignoring it and settling into what we knew worked.
- Tags - I really like tags and this is going to get more and more useful as we nail the navigation (e.g. right now there's no way to paginate through the popular tags).
- Replying goes where you were - I hated the old reply confirmation and like that if you reply to a specific post you go right back to where you were. Now I don't open new tabs to reply because I'm going right back where I was.

@Craven de Kere,
And I like that this post was saved as a draft for me as I was logged out in the composition. The session management still isn't perfect but the drafts help avoid the biggest irritation of being logged out.

Eventually we'll have an auto-saving draft that logged in users can use for other scenarios (losing connection etc).

@ossobuco,
I like this a lot too. In the past there was no way to see posts by the most replies, views etc. Now you can do something like:

Find the most viewed thread in politics in the last week.

Sure, a lot of people are complaining that these options are getting in the way of how they'd like to sort the topics, but the point is that you can do it however you'd like and previously you had only a few options.

I also like the voting. A lot. Now when I see really stupid stuff I can just vote it down and take away attention from it instead of replying to it and adding to it.

Sometimes things need refutation, sometimes they need to be ignored. The old site had a lot more train wrecks than I think we'll have if we use it wisely.

@snood,
When you click "reply," it takes you to a reply box; right over that are the words "Enable BBCode Editor," in green. Click on that, et voila.

@Craven de Kere,
I am absolutely loving the ability to control our own world here. Do our own sorts/add our own tags. Lovely.

@ehBeth,
Yeah, I keep thinking of you when I do tags. I'm looking for one to tag with "media." Wink

@Craven de Kere,
Yeah, and fashion relates to design (you know where I'm going with that) without even getting into the world of computers, where design explodes) and style.. really, this all is very exciting.

You mentioned some other feature I really like, but I'll review that later.

It's interesting. I see myself liking the site more readily than many and I rank among the most inept re both computers and lineal thinking, not that those are tied with a bow. But somehow a lot of what I am seeing fits my rubbery/loosey goosey mind.

I'm going to love the connections.

@dagmaraka,
I love it too. It's sooooho modern. Discussing the conditions of the discussion is really up there in this modern world.

@spendius,
What I would really like best is that everybody ignores me and then I can get things off my chest without worrying about upsetting anyone.

@spendius,
It is fast, but that is about the only good think I could discover so far...

Where are the different categories?
Why do all post with a signature have a sliding bar?
(OK, not all but some, I just realised)
Where is the search button?
Why do I have to enable BBCode Editor for every post?
Where is the spell check?
