Been there, done that, voted for Nader in 2000.

Funny thing, in spite of my cynicism, it DID matter who won that election. Furthermore, in hindsight, it seem that Gore would have made a decent president.

(On the other hand, maybe Roe v. Wade isn't that important after all.)

Well, I dunno. I wouldn't give 2 Cents for either of them. To me, it is just a matter of who will screw up the least.

In that case, would the two of you consider voting for Obama?

If you truly don't care, then how about giving the other side a go at it for a while?

the Clinton/Gore strategy for responding to terrorists attacks on America was to .........................

..........oh yeah , go bomb an empty factory at night

the Clinton/Gore strategy for the economy was to sue Microsoft and take the tech-heavy NASDAQ from 5000 to 2500 in just one year

the Clinton/Gore strategy for dealing with firearms violations was to burn 100 people alive while trying to arrest one suspect

the Clinton/Gore strategy for health care was to impose criminal penalties on those wishing to pay for health care out of their own pocket (they went outside the system, ooooooooooooooooooooo)

the Clinton/Gore idea for campaign finance integrity was to claim there was 'no controlling legal authority' (i.e. 'we can do what we **** well please')

the Clinton/Gore strategy for balancing the budget and reforming welfare was to be glad that your buds in the Democratic congress ignored these things in '93 and '94 , and then only sign on and take credit when FORCED to by a Republican congress

yeah, I'm sure Gore woulda made a great Prez Rolling Eyes

Al Gore is an idiot of the first order.

He thinks he's Mr. Smartypants. I'd put him up against Mr. Nugent - who has no college education - in debate any day, and Gore would be made a fool.

I'm with you Bear......

My vote for president will depend on VP candidate; I am leaning back towards McCain though just so that there are some checks and balances.

....and I have decided that I will vote for Republicans in all of the state posistions in Illinois.....this place has gone FAR to far to the left for my liking. We need lower taxes and fewer gun laws in IL.

I think he meant that the conservatives have been running the country for the past 8 years, and he would like you guys to vote for Obama in order to let the democrats take the reigns for a while.

Remind me to buy you a beer next time you're in San Fran. Or maybe when I come to NY next year.

I don't have any plans for a trip to San Fran anytime soon, but if you come to NY, I'd be more than willing to accept a free beer. Maybe we can even persuade the serious party animals, Frank Apisa and/or Joe Nation to join us as well.
