@jespah,
Hello Jespah, Ossobucco, and everybody else.
Rockets to induce early rainfall?
Milli Vanilli Chinese children?
Crowd pressure a new obstacle for home team?
Still staying up late. Saw a few good long volleys last night.

Hope FB can get back in.

Loving the Women 4x200 freestyle relay. Amazing, the girls qualify 6th fastest and then knock 5 seconds off the world record. And Kylie Palmer hits the water for the first time and swims the fastest split in the comp except for Federica the italian rocket. What a blast!

I thought the Japanese guy in the mens individual gymnastics was QL.

Just checking to be sure I'm here. Gonna take awhile to get used to this, but looks like everybody is figuring it all out okay. Haven't figured out how to get my avatar to show though. Sad

@ElStudHoncho,
I am becoming very worried that these Fighting Gerbils are gaining some momentum and might possibly beat me???

So far 7 of my selected countries look likely to go home from Beijing empty handed. Its a very sad fantasy olympics at the moment.

So, yesterday's competitions were exciting? Disappointing? What? I stayed up past midnight night before last to get the men's all around gymnastic finals and swore I couldn't do that last night for the women's. But I did. (I love gymnastics). Getting more and more nervous that Phelps might falter and miss his goal, though, but so far he's right on track.

4. markr - 336
5. fom2020 (Pancho's Olympic Team) - 326
6. Calamity Jane - 326
7. realjohnboy (WIFF's) - 323
8. hingehead - 322

26. Imur (THIOS) - 204
27. Diane (PDQ Geckos) - 202
28. ElStudHoncho (Fighting Gerbils) - 153

The 2004 medalists are showing their strenght. Bronze medalist MOU is right behind the leader, and markr has been moving consistently upwards, and is now putting pressure oon jp. Pancho's Olympic Team's performance is, for the time being, proof that fom2020 is indeed an expert on olympics.
