htmThe strange-looking rock formations in the foreground of these skyscapes are called hoodoos. Towers of weathered, eroded sedimentary rock, hoodoos are found in arid regions of planet Earth and are particularly abundant in an area known as Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah, USA.

I've been there twice. It is a unique landscape to say the least. I love it - one of my favorite places.

Two years ago I spent two weeks in that wonderful area. I split my time between Zion and Bryce and spent a full week on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I cannot even descirbe how much I love that area of the US. It is so stunning I almost feel like I cannot breath when I am there.

Last year I spent time in and around Park City, Utah and Moab. Aches National Park is fabulous too.

Hey BBB

Oh..... Bryce Canyon is one of the most truly stunning places on this planet. I went there a number of years ago when I lived in CA. Will see if I can scan in some of my photos and post here... (pre digital camera times Rolling Eyes ) Arches too.... gorgeous.

awe inspiring doesn't even come close - and I actually preferred personally Bryce to the Grand Canyon - the "colours" - were... breathtaking.

I'm not able to visit the site and must try to get a feeling about their grandeur via photographs. I would love to see your photos.

I have a huge framed print of Bryce... somewhere in my house... now the house is not big and the pic is nowhere to be seen... not sure how it is possible to lose a frame that big.... I am now on a seek and find mission !!!) Razz
