New Braunsfels, TX or Galveston Isle, TX....
and why?
I live near Dallas, and I'm trying to decide which one to take my family to this summer..... Galveston has the beach to visit also though.
I've never been to one of their parks.
I voted new Braunsfels .
I have been to that one and the one in galveston.
Though the two are similar, that one just feels better
My son, age 14, has been to both this year. He says the one in New Braunfels is much larger and a lot more fun.
The Galveston beaches aren't that great for swimming. It's very windy, very choppy. Great for flying kites, though. Moody Gardens is a fun day for the family. Wonderful seafood (especially shrimp!) Galveston is an easy, low-key, very laid back place.
There are thousands of things for families to do in San Antonio (just south of New Braunfels.) The Riverwalk, the Alamo, Sea World, great Mexican food, etc. The list goes on and on.
Also...
Should we get the two-day pass, or is one day enough?
What ages are your children?
One full day will be plenty.
Will you be close to the park for more then one day?
It may be worth it for a two day pass if you will be around for 2 or 3 days.
