An example of my work...

This is my latest piece. It was for a contest on Deviant Art with the theme of your interpretation of good and evil. I didn't even make it to the semi-finals but that's OK, I am pretty satisfied with it. It took me two days off and on to finish it.

It is only one piece of art but I have flipped it so you can see both sides.

I have shown off some art, but I am just as avid a photographer. I entered four of my photo's in a photo contest that my town was hosting. The award ceremony was today and I am proud to announce that all four of my photo's placed in their categories!! It's actually the first contest I have ever entered.

'Blue Dragonfly III' took 3rd place in 'Wildlife and Insects'



'Pale Pink' took 1st place in 'Flowers'



'I Love Trees' got 3rd place in 'Landscapes'



and 'Light the Way' took 1st place in 'Cityscapes'



I'm rather surprised and pleased. I didn't expect to win anything and I got four!

I have just finished the largest piece I have ever worked. 36"x48" of stretched canvas, a lot of blue paint and 35 non-consecutive hours and I give you 'Cerulean Shadows'.



This is also my Art by Anastasia page on facebook. You can follow my artistic endeavors if you would like. It is a public page so I don't believe you have to have an account to see it, I hope. It is not the best quality picture as it was taken with my phone. On the next sunny day I plan to take it outside and get a better one. I have to save up some money to go get it professionally scanned in (it's going to be about $145). My scanner bit the dust and this is way to big any way.

Here is a better photo of 'Cerulean Shadows'

I finished the second painting in the monochromatic series I am working on. Cerulean Shadows was the first and this is the second. I just finished it yesterday.

I'm not sure why I cant show the actual picture...I used the [img] [/img] and tried different images from different sites. None of them would show.

You need to get the url for the image (right click the image for the menu to copy it) and not the page.
