An example of my work...

This is titled 'Just Hatched' and it is an image I have had rattling around in my head for quite a while. I finally got the excuse to work on it through a calender submissions contest for baby fantasy animals.

I have been wanting to show some of my art here for a while but I don't trust most of those places that let you upload your images. It increases the chances of getting my work ripped off to greatly.

So here is a piece. I welcome comments and suggestions on improvement. I would like to see more of everyone else's work as well. There are some very talented people here.

Embarrassed I'm blushing! Thanks everybody! I just realized that it looks like I don't draw anything except tigers (my avatar). While I love drawing them I do do other things. I will try to get more stuff up soon.

Thanks again!

Hey that's terrific! I particularly like the texture of the fur (especially around the shoulder) - seems fuzzy, even on my not brilliant monitor - must be great IRL.

Very Happy Thanks!! I am home sick today (feeling VERY yucky) and y'all are just making my day. If anyone else would like the link to my new gallery feel free to PM me an email address. Unfortunately I am not able to PM back, but I will send you the URL. Don't worry I won't put you on any weird mailing lists.

I am going to try to post more pics. Bear with me as I am not wholly savvy at this...let me know if they don't appear.

This is titled Autumn Faerie (obviously) I have a real liking for fantasy art. It is just so much fun to make something up out of the blue. I am going to try to make a series of the faeries (this being the first one I have ever done) probably do a winter, spring and summer one.

Once again comments, questions, critiques are welcome!

@Aldistar,
Are you a professional artist? If not, why not? Your works have a special flair that is very endearing and attractive. I'm sure I speak for all when I say, please show us more.

Why, thank you CI. I really appreciate that. I am a professional artist...sort of. I hold a full time retail job to pay the bills and work on my artwork every spare moment I have. I went to college for art and I am working toward it becoming my only full time career.

This is one I just painted about a week ago titled 'Tattered' with a small description.

Tattered, is a watercolor that I have done off of a photo that I took a long time ago. I would have posted the photo instead, but the film was aged when I had it developed and it came out pretty grainy. This particular butterfly was interesting because his wings were very tattered and torn, but he still flew about like nothing was wrong. I know most butterflies have a life span from a few days to a few weeks at the most and I felt a bit humbled by this little guy. He had obviousley been through a lot in his short life.

I've got a lot of watercolors here so I thought I would show off one of my acrylics...this is 'Burning Brightly'
