I love Alaska, I always fantasize about living there one day. Until then though I read all I can about life there fiction and non fiction. I'm reading Jodi Picoult's 10th Circle now and I'm getting through it so quickly. Does anyone have any other Alaska reading Suggestions?
I'm a big murder mystery fan.
There are several mystery novelists whose stories take place in Alaska
Kate Stabenow
Sue Henry
Christopher Lane
Aaron Elkin's mystery
Icy Clutches
takes place in Alaska.
Maybe you'll finish reading The 10th Circle in time to see the movie with out it ruining the ending, though I'm sure the stories will differ a bit.
Heres another book about Alaska you may enjoy:
Alaska: A Novel by Michener
I visited Alaska once, Juno more specifically. I was looking at a college up there.
Here is a book that promises an interesting prospective:
"Iditarod Dreams: A Year in the Life of Alaskan Sled Dog Racer Deedee Jonrowe"
Incidentally that movie The Tenth circle is going to be on lifetime this Saturday at 9.

If you ever get a chance to see the Aurora Borealis go its amazing I saw this movie with Dennis Quaid called Frequency that surrounds some mystical thing that happens during the Aurora. Side bar the 10th circle came on again last night and I happened to catch it, that whole thing was a reference to Dante's inferno. I liked the surprise ending. Whoa! Did any one else happen to see it?
