Maybe instead of rebuilding roads and government buildings in Iraq we should spend the money on our own infrastructure.

Maybe people shouldn't live in areas prone to flooding ...

Maybe when the farmers move out of the areas prone to flooding, everyone will be content to pay two or three times as much for their food. Maybe people shouldn't live in areas in which tornadoes are common--Hell, we don't need all the livestock and grain and oil produced between the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachians. Maybe people shouldn't live in areas subject to hurricanes. Maybe people shouldn't live in areas subject to forest fires. Maybe people shouldn't live in areas prone to earthquakes.

Maybe we should all just move to Mars.

You first big guy, you first.

Farms have very few people living on them and there is not much infrastructure to rebuild after an event.

Cities and towns should not be located in harms way.

Boy, this **** just zips right over your head, doesn't it? To whence will the roughly 200,000,000 residents of cities move when they have moved away from all areas prone to flooding, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, mud slides and brush fires?

So you think Americans should just move to higher ground, but the trillions of tax dollars spent to rebuild Iraq is money well spent?

What about our roads, bridges, water systems etc. that are falling apart? Maybe we should all stop driving and import our water from Saudi Arabia.

Kicky, you have to move out of Manhattan. Manhattan is always getting flooded after hurricanes or even just heavy rains when the Hudson and East River are at high tide.

The flooding in Iowa is presently happening on the 500 year flood plain. Hardly an area that would be considered "prone to flooding."

Driving a tractor up a vertical surface sounds dangerous to me.
