Oh, you just hit the nail on the head....it's all this earnestness going on constantly. Like every little issue is going to make or break the world.

That's not reality.

However, I know people who are like that, and to be honest, I avoid them.

There's no balance in their lives.

I'm hoping he keeps his promise about Lacey's ghost. I miss Lacey.

Are you sure that's new?

It looked familiar, and some things seem dated. Like, "Paid publicity for faltering G.O.P. candidate/ Wow, I'm voting for (TBA)!"

Plus a few of the storylines seem to have happened and resolved (Mrs. Doonesbury, escapee; B.D. hearts Celeste; etc.)

It's only a cartoon.

I believe that you should write that up and send it to Trudeau, he fails to remember that. HAve you ever listened to him in person? Like spendius, I believe that GAry feels that every turd he emits is golden.

Its a political strip and is instructional if you look beyond the the attempt to put happy faces on everything that most cartoonists draw. Real life is often a bitch. Im 72 going on 100.

Salivating. Back in college I wrote my first internet Perl script to download all Doonesbury comics since it started in 1970. Then I read all 27 years in one weekend. I'm glad the replays are over for now. And I'd be even gladder if I saw a return of Ginny into the comic.

farmerman,

I couldn't help but notice that you are posting a lot on a thread about a comic strip that you say you don't like. Smile

wandel, the point you were reaching for was what?.
Do you think Id just post my opinion and then split? NOO.
After I gave my opinion I responded to several counterpoints , one of which was in response to my original point.

If you are not reading The Sandbox on a daily basis, you are missing a huge chunk of the war.

I've bookmarked "The Sandbox".

Grim reading, but necessary perspective.

I'm riveted by it most mornings.

I think it is some of the most truthful writing I have ever read/
