McCain is starting to sound a little daffy. Is he trying to attract the Bush crowd?

Yeah, Obama, for sure.

The effort to go to Mars has been ongoing for several decades. The ISS will provide the launchpad for the eventual mission. They may in fact attempt to establish a base on the moon first.

I think "let's go to Mars!" is a poor man's attempt at having vision. Kennedy used the "let's go to the Moon!" as a cold war gambit, so how everyone and their dad thinks that issuing a call to do something extravegant is showing leadership.

Maybe he should just stand up at lunch and yell "Food fight!"

Count me out of that logic. As well as my dad.

Let's do it! Cheaper, more fun and more worthwhile than going to Mars. We'll get hell from Europe for wasting food with all the rising prices worldwide and all, but McCain can stare them down.

Well . . . let's put his ass on a rocket and shoot him up there . . . then he can see anybody he believes is up there, including his imaginary friends . . .

I say, good riddance . . .

I think this is vitally important to our National Interests.

Imagine what would happen if the Terrorists got to Mars before us...

Purpose is a good thing. How should I put this... Purpose, for lack of a better word is a good thing. I mean, outlaw guns, give folks free healthcare, what are we really doing? Making it differentially easier to be a fat useless sack of crap with an iPod. Aim the GDP at something in the way of an accomplishment on the other hand - another sign of Big Mack being in the right frame of mind.
