Flashlights and beer

I was just walking through our living room and the Lady Diane was watching one of her shows (CSI) and it got me to thinking about this movie "HUD" that came out about '63 starring Paul Newman and featured in the film was a beer (coors). Now, at tham time in my life I was a beer drinker and my friends and I on any given sat night would scrape together loose change from the sofa cushions and under car seats to see if we had enough to get a 6-pack which usually meant if we could only amass 69cents we could get coors or grainbelt but if we could put together 89 cents we could get miller high-life or hamms. well do to that dam movie coors got so expensive/popular that we could now only afford grainbelt (bleah) which wasn't any worse than coors but it restricted our options.
Now the thing is Lady Diane was watching this telly program where virtually every scene has the investigators searching crime scenes with those little mag-lites instead of turning on the normal room lights. is the producer getting a kick-back from maglites or batteries? If not, what's the purpose? If it was me I'd just turn on the room lights and grab a Fat Tire Ale out of the fridge. I can't stand even the thought of drinking coors.

I believe it is the particular type of bulb they are using, one whose illumination reveals more clues. I know when I shine that type of lights on my clothes all the splattered blood shows quite nicely'

And people actually drank Hamm's beer? The stuff from the land of sky-blue waters?

I drank Coors when I lived in Arizona and at the time it was quite agreeable, but now the stuff does nothing for me. It tastes a bit like water.

Perhaps the quality of water is declining?

Coors always left an aftertaste in my mouth, so did National Bo (but you hadda drink about 15 or so more to dup that aftertaste)

Those mag lights are the choice for professional artifact and fossil hunters , The best time for developing a "patterning" in a search is about dusk , Youd go up to an area where youve already located a fossil and shine a mag lite at a low angle and the fossil structure just pops out at you.

IMHO, its more the low angle search rather than just the high beam of the mag lite that helps in a CSI type search.

That's a hell of a mag lite. I bet they have those boxes hidden under their shirts.

I wonder if they are using the new LED bulbs in the maglites?

I tried the whole slug killing with beer process and the results were less than favorable.

Maybe your slugs are Muslims.

It just took too long to hunt down the slugs, place them in the beer, watch them squirm, and then, afterwards, the beer always tasted sluggish.

Muslim slugs? That's an interesting thought.

You could try water boarding them.

Hey, Green Witch, I have some news that will make you happy. About three hours ago I was nailed by a hail storm (marble-size) and the ice projectiles proceed to shred my hostas in a relentless fashion.

Complete carnage out there.
