I'm planning a "Dive In" movie, outdoors by the pool for adults in August. I can't think of anything that would fit the 30-55 age group that would be of broad enough interest for men and women to hold their attention and be somthing I could build a theme around while also allowing them to party.
Hawaii / Elvis... but would they watch that?
Maybe something more along the lines of The Wall so it's more background music / party atmosphere? But, what about those not so "rockish."
Jaws?
Titanic... or would that make the guys throw up in the pool?
Any ideas?
"Tootsie"?
Could cross-dress...
Jaws would be cool....you could play it muted and have your own music playing.
You could get some of those inflatable sharks to put in the pool, and rig up a life guard stand.
Chai, I think that would be perfect.
well Thank You roger...
(bats eyes)
jaws won't work... it will take the attention away from the women because guys will be watching the movie instead of them... a comedy is what's needed...
"Dumb and Dumber" doesn't require the partygoers to pay a lot of attention.
I'd go for all of the Shrek movies - partly because I love the music. My favourite driving soundtrack is Shrek2.

Definitely lots of costume/theme opportunities - all of those fairy tale characters to choose from.

I'll be the magic mirror.
HIPPIE PARTY...
the big chill...
then rig up the toilets so they dont flush wandle??
big chill would be good.... how about a classic cartoon festival for shorts?
and maybe reefer madness...
there ya go.
Cheech and CHong.
if you have to ask about party favors you better pick Shirley Temple instead.
They will actually be in and out of the pool. Costumes won't work.
I'm thinking of something like a cruise theme, and show "Out at Sea" except that might not be "party" enough or may not appeal to the 30 somthings. Is there another cruise movie?
Hawaii? Carribean? Beach?
Grease? Summer of 42?
Yellow Submarine? Some other Beatles movies?
The Blues Brothers?
Animal House?
Spinal Tap?
Top Gun?
Splash?
