I've applied for a private high school interview. They required me to take a phone interview. I actually have never experienced that before. So, could you please tell me what it's like? What should I do to prepare for the interview? What questions do you think will probably be asked? How should I answer them? Oh, by the way, please tell me some DOs and DON'Ts during the interview.
Thank you very much. Any help will be appreciated.
Be honest. Be polite. Be positive. Don't be rude by interrupting the interviewer. Don't use street slang or curse. Refer to the person as "Ms" or "Mr.", unless given permission to use their first name. Sound enthusiastic and happy. Say "thank you" when it is over.
They will probably ask you why you want to go to their school - say good things about the school, not bad things about public schools. They might want to know your strengths and weakness'. They will probably ask what you want to study or what career you are planning for. They will listen to learn if you speak English correctly. They will probably ask what you like to do in your free time. They may ask a little about current events to see if you pay attention to what is going on in the world.
Good luck.
Does this school have any strengths?
Meaning.. is it known for a certain class? Certain instructor? Certain behavior?
You may want to talk about that.
If it has a weakness other then financial, you may want to point it out as well so that you appear to understand the school completely and not just be blinded with its success.
