I believe her comments about the assassination were innocent.
Irresponsible and inappropriate yes but, as I've watched the video a few times, it seems as soon as the words left her mouth, she sort of paused realizing the implications regardless of her intent. I am sorry to say that she was honestly trying to convey a message of persistence.

I believe that if it were not an African American she was running against, the comment would have still been covered but not to this extent.

What Hillary meant seems clear. Obama could be assassinated and that was one reason for her to stay in the race.

I am not eager to defend her but, I honestly believe she was only pointing out an instance wherein things suddenly changed.

I don't think her point was that "Obama could be assassinated" but rather that anything could happen...just so happens that her example of such an instance involved assassination. not the smartest move!
Did she intentionally suggest that Obama could be assassinated? I don't think so but, then again this is the HRC.

Besides I wouldn't want her to quit now, every other day she does something dumber than the last.

I enjoy the way the media attacks.
Again, she deserves all of this whether her intentions were benign or not.
It's just my personal opinion that she honestly PHucked up... as usual.

We've beat this to death on another thread, but it's obvious that Clinton needs a miracle to win. To suggest that the "miracle" could be an assassination it pretty tacky. She's followed this line of attack four separate times since March, specifically saying "assassination" twice, so it doesn't sound like a slip of the tongue to me. I think the majority here think it was innocent, so I'll respect that train of thought.
