We the sheeple of the United States, in order to form a more socialistic, humanistic government, establish true social justice, insure politically correct speech, provide for the complete disarming of all Americans, promote the general welfare state, and to secure the blessings of servitude to our beloved government forever do hereby decimate and subvert the Constitution of the United States.

Because ...we hold these truths to be self evident, that;

1. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic

we are a true democracy [mobocracy].

2. We are no longer a Christian nation

we are a human secularist society

3. We are no longer rugged and self-reliant

we are too self-absorbed

4. We are no longer responsible for our actions

we are victims

5. We no longer want individualism

we want group approval

6. We no longer want self-determination

please tax us, regulate us and control us

7. We no longer want religion and morality

we crave diversity, perversity and acceptance

8. We are no longer capable of self government

we have grown soft, ignorant and dependant

9. We are no longer fearful of government (i.e. the Founding Fathers)

we demand to be taken care of

10. Alexis deTocqueville was right!

[We] "The American People are so enamored of equality that they [we] would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom."

Atheism's got nothing to do with it. Quite the contrary, secular humanists lean pinko - but look at Christianity, it's human quality control...

Hopefully Obama will restore the Constitution and Bill of Rights reversing Bushie's dictatorial grab for the Executive branch. Restore due process and the Founding Fathers can stop spinning in their graves.

So you support him restoring the Constitution to mean exactly what it says, with no interpretation by activist judges (of either political leaning), you support him to restore the Constitution so that every law or rule or power the govt wants must be measured against the 10th amendment, to restore it so that nobody can read anything into it that isnt written in it, etc?

Is that what you mean by restoring the Constitution?

If he were to promise to do that (and I were to believe him), I'd have to actually consider voting for the guy.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. How can we possibly measure the danger here?

You mean like Presidents authorizing wire taps without court approvals in violation of the constitution? That sort of thing?

Quote:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

"People" - that doesn't restrict it to citizens? does it? Or are we "interpreting" the constitution when Bush says that foreigners in the US aren't covered?

That was true 30 +/- years ago, but progressive secular humanists don't support communism.

The people who DON'T mindlessly follow the Christian religion are the sheeple?

It is also Ironic that Jesus actually called his followers sheep.
