Ok let me Restate what i was trying to imply.

People are annoyed because of the fact that we are still fighting for our rights.

We will continue to do that until we get the same rights as heterosexual people.
Theoretically we should have the same rights as the heterosexual people we live with.
However that is not what is going on.
Which is the reason why we are still fighting to this day.

EXAMPLE: Harrassment in the workplace. the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the military,

the frequent abuse gay children go through at school.

I hope that u were not frequently abused as a child in school, Yuri,
Did that actually happen ?

Did the other children know
that u r a homosexual ?

Did u tell them ?

Based upon either your own direct observation,
or based upon what other people have told u,
do believe that u presented yourself
in a feminine affect to the other children ?

Did u go to school with children of both sexes ?

I came out of the closet when i was 13 .
Yes i went to school with children of both sexes.

I am flamboyant if that is what you are trying to get out of me.

How ?

Was this in a Moslem school ?

In Egypt ?

If homosexuals were to be condemned and punished because their sexual practice does not serve sex's reproduction function, then it follows that everyone who masturbates should be condemned and punished--and this probably includes EVERYONE but me.

I thought there's a few thoughts missing from this thread:

Talking about gay or homosexual rights only involves those out of the proverbial closet. And, let's be honest, I do believe that even if there was no homophobia in the world, there would be a population of homosexuals (male and female) that wants to socialize in a heterosexual world with no one knowing of his or her sexual persuasion. Not because there would be any negative reaction (remember the hypothesis is in a non homophobic world), but because some homosexuals like to be thought of as being part of the majority sexual persuasion. Some people in a minority group like to pretend to be part of the majority group.

So, the above adds a dimension to gay rights that does not exist, I believe, when one talks about the rights of other minorities, since one never has to show one's true self, if one is passing as another race, religion, or ethnicity, at least in the U.S.

Also, the sensitivity to other people "feeling" superior is silly, in my opinion, since so many people I've interacted felt superior to me in one way or another. Never did it bother me. I chalk it up to the brainwashing/socialization they were subjected to.

Plus, I believe, it was Alfred Adler that theorized the superiority complex is an overcompensation for feelings of inferiority. So why should a superiortiy complex annoy anyone, other than for possible obnoxious behavior?

Another point is that the world has always been full of people
some of whom r superior & others are inferior to me;
for instance, there are many people who are not as fat & ugly,
as me, and who are better shots.

SO WHAT ? I don 't begrudge them that.
If some guy beats me at the gunnery range, I congratulate him !
We can still be friends n have a good time together.

Possibly, I may be better than thay r in other ways.

Agreed.

I have a question i need a yes or no answer to.

Is putting up signs "NO FAGGOTS ALLOWED" or "GOD HATES GAYS" allowed in public ?

YES or No. and WHY.

I don't want any hypothetical, theoretical, imaginative, absurd, awkward, unrealistic, big worded answer. Is it illegal or legal ?

Just a simple yes because or no because. Thank you.

DISCUSS !

I assume "allowed" means "permitted by law".

If so the answer is unclear. Moreover it is one of fact and not opinion. More information may be required to determine where all this would fall relative to the right of free speech.

Arbitrarily limiting access to public places is indeed limited by the law, so on that basis alone the "No faggots Allowed" bit is likely to be illegal in most instances. Expressions of opinion are generally far less limited, so I suspect the opposite answer would prevail for the "God hates..." one.

In my own opinion, gay males, out or in (the closet), tend to enjoy more than heterosexual men simple socializing. If one is an introvert, it can become intrusive or problematic (in not wanting to hurt someone's feelings) in dealing with someone that one senses really "craves" socializing.

There is no simple yes/no answer to this. There are many, many "it depends on..." catches.

In my own case, it is entirely possible to erect such a sign on my property. There are no restrictions on placing signs on private property or "hate speech" in my town and freedom of speech trumps someone else's right not to be offended. That might not hold true for others.

I agree with Fishin, on these points.

Different jurisdictions have different laws, Yuri.

I'm usually written off as a troll.....but to be honest, I just thought I'd start off with a "bang" since the subject involves sex.
