You can always tell when a recording was made before the McCarthy witch hunts and when a recording was made after. The giveaway line is the one you quoted above. A post-McCarthy narrator will usually read the line thus: "OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people..."

A pre-McCarthy narrator will usually read the line thus: "of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE!"
