Re: Race, Race, and Racism Combined

The issue of race, or racism did not commence with the introduction of Obama in the presidential 'race', but began in an earlier century. I am not prolonging the discourse of race and racism, but should we critically examined our sociopolitical and cultural spaces to ascertain whether or not those two issues are currently present within our societies. The discourse should not be that we cease from a dialogue on the matter, but a 'truthful' investigation of the matter. The time is right, now.
The fact that the human race can not get over the difference in skin pigmentation while you think of it as "race" indicates you and your views are not the answer.
With all you so called "brains", how come you can not see that YOU are the problem?
Skin pigmentation is just a red herring, or euphemism perhaps, for deeper concerns. Many people take a pride in those traits that they believe reflects their "group." So, tall people feel their tallness should remain as a tendency, within their group. Or, perhaps, the platinum blond hair that many parents feel makes their kids look so upper class. Or, blue eyes, or being naturally muscular, or whatever. Then there's the "scientific" thinking about which groups have genetic diseases. Then there's the politically incorrect (but scientific) thinking about which genes are dominant.
So, melanin, or lack of it, is only one little item on the list of why we cluster into groups. It's all about maintaining one's group as a biological division, and believing that that group should survive, or rather thrive. So, it's all a form of nepotism, that counters the winner to be those with the best fecundity.
It's the downside of a heterogenous society, I'd guess.
