In my opinion, the number of military personnel that served during the Vietnam Era will predominantly vote for John McCain. And, they will have an exponential effect, due to many friends, family feeling that John McCain puts more closure on that time.
Who knows if Hillary wouldn't be the better President? However, the non-Northeast will vote predominantly for John McCain, I believe, since more people identify with him, and his sacrifice for this country. Too bad Hillary didn't serve in the military. As the saying goes, we can't have our cake and eat it too.
With the number of women that are now in the military, I'd guess that in the future there will be many women in politics, and many will have had military service. The day has arrived when equality can be proven by doing what men historically did.
If only she were running against McCain for the Democratic ticket. She'd have a chance.
Once the primaries are over, I expect the Democrat candidate to pick up some steam. Right now, Clinton benefits by tearing Obama down and Obama is not striking back.
