but if you're feeling adventurous dear.... just get that small blue suitcase out of the corner of closet....oh the games we'll play....
so last night I finally caught the cat in a relaxed mood and got quite a bit of work done with the furminator. it really is an efficient tool.
I'm still going to ask my vet about the tranq thing though. I just don't have hours to commit to grooming an animal. I don't mind devoting an hour or two a week.... but not several hours everytime. I just can't spare that.
He's currently wrapped around my legs purring as I sit at my desk.
I took everyone's advice and let him have the run of the house (except the bedrooms) last night..... He was definitely more relaxed this morning when I got up.
You know what he really likes? He loves for me to touch foreheads with him. I think that's his happiest moment when that happens so I make sure to do it several times a day. Is that some sort of cat thing?
Oh Yes!
Most cats love that.
Not all the time, but when they are showing affection, that's one of the things they do.
Like making muffins on you with their paws. That says I really love you.
Try this next time kitty's all relaxed and hanging out with you....
When you make eye contact with him, kinda squint, half close your eyes for a second. It's really cool when they do it back to you.
That's them saying "you are one super cool dude"
BTW, what is your cat's name?
well when we got him they had named him Sonny.... I'm sure that before he ran away (because he obviously came from a home) he had a different name.
I call him Puss III. Guess how many cats I've had in my life...
Aww. That's good news. Glad it's gonna work out.
a forehead bump is the equivalent of a hug in human terms.
So is a slow blink.
A forehead rub on your legs, that starts with his ear is "marking" you..
The biggest scent glands a cat has is that bald-ish spot around the bottom of the ear where it connects to the head.
Rubbing that spot on anything is leaving their scent on ya.. or the wall
or the furniture
or the door..
Thought of you when I saw
this, Bear
