but if the algae farms eat up the toxic gases and in fact make use of it.... generated from breweries and power plants wouldn't that be a big consideration.... placing them next to these plants where possible? Killing two birds with one stone? And they're scattered all over the place right?

I'm really fascinated by this topic... takes my mind of these ignant political threads and is actually something that matters.... and I like the fact that you experts can dumb it down to where I understand it on request. Seriously.

Im no expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. AHEM . I would say that most power plants are near water so theres a lot of em out there already conveniently located if you want to use CO2 also. I think the NOx gases will actually be a better "fertilizer" for these algae . ALL they are doing is creating a big baggy full of water and fertilizer. That makes the algae go nuts when they "seed the baggies"

ALSO, I think there will be a problem of scaling up the baggie idea so its strong enough to be used in a frame out in the air. In water, there will be alot less force of gravity on the full baggies.
