Lugar made the above statement in 1993; and it is quoted once again by Charles A. Kupchan in his article published March 9, 2008 as below.

When faced with a choice between "going out of area or out of business," NATO chose to depart from its traditional mission of territorial defense, first dispatching forces to the Balkans and then to Afghanistan.


My question is how to paraphrase this new saying against the backdrop of Nato enlargement that has been going on for almost 20 years.

We don't need NATO.
Nato is a club which uphold voilence agains voilence
We need free copy of Christian BIBLE.
the people who admire weapons are not christians..
And real Christians are not supporting voilence
