Speaking of Fox and pandering, did you see this article and video the Chicago Fox affiliate produced about a year ago?

Notice the hyped up dramatic music and use of distorted images when the Poobah guy is on screen. Notice the dark, sinister shadows when the ex-KKK member speaks. I question why a person who is in such danger that they're in the Federal Witness Protection Program is appearing in such a video. I question why a TV station in Chicago is filming the Poobah in a hotel room in Indiana. Why is a TV station interested in finding out why membership is on the rise in such groups is going to the KKK poobah for answers. Notice the Poobah's distancing of himself in the video by saying "people in the south" when referring to the Obama haters. Take note of the silence from the Obama campaign, Homeland Security and the other agency the TV station contacted with the info about the threat to Obama followed by the soundbite of Obama saying that yes, there are some haters who feel threatened by him. Notice the dramatic graphics showing the number of such groups in the US and in the state of Illinois.
This wasn't a simple "news" story with people deeply concerned about Obama's safety. This was one of those hyped up stories stations do during ratings sweep weeks to improve their ad revenues. They were so concerned about the story and getting the word out about these threats that they took the time to look for the ex-KKK guy in the witness protection program, film his response to the threat on Obama, and produce and edit the video complete with dramatic music and lighting, costumes, distorted images, shadows and graphics for the statistical charts.
Now, think about the motives for producing such a video, for posting such a video on their Fox website, and for spreading such a video via annonymous emails to Democrats.
