Becoming a Handy man

I've decided I want another job. I've been looking for a second career for a while, and haven't found something I'll like yet.

Anyhow, I want a part-time job that I would do only on sundays. Today, I decided I'll like to be a handy man on the weekend. Where should I go to find a job? I have no experience what so ever, who would possibly train/hire me?

I guess I'll be doing some googling tonight, to answer some of my questions.

Isn't a handman one with a lot of experience, though? Mostly in the building trades? Truely, it's a rare breed, unless you just mean you intend to do chores for people.

Yeah Roger, you're right ... ergo the name 'handyman' ... they can do anything.

But, some people are born with a talent for it, so if that's the case, go for it!

Usually, handyman entails the ability to do some home repairs like some basic skills in plumbing, painting, drywall replacement, wallpaper hanging, some carpentry, painting, and trash cleanup. Don't do anything willy-nilly by doing something you don't know how to do; some skills require licensing and meeting some insurance requirements. c.i.
