Why Brussels milks Latvia?

Sasper jods! I get simply mad when I start to think that my country (not only Latvia but all Baltic states) had to give up growing farm produce for export (that used to make a good part of Latvia's state budget) and scatter all our fields with oilseed rape that we have to sell to UE bio fuel consumers for a dab of money!

Why do we have to do that? For us it is absolutely unprofitable so we have to sustain huge losses for absolutely nothing! I mean that we provide most Europe with oilseed but do not gain anything instead! Do they expect us be altruistic? No way!

Granted that Brussels decided to crack the problem of CO2 emissions reduction at the cost of Latvia and other Baltic states, why doesn't EU pay for that? We deserve some sort of compensations or at least they should be giving preferential treatment to Baltic States on EU market! Until now we were not even allowed to be present at it. Only in this case it will be fair!

I suspect this is the same Russian propagandist who for so long regaled us with diatribes against the Georgians

It's not Brussels milk, it's Brussels sprouts.

Why Brussels sprouts Latvia?

There. That makes a lot more sense.
