I nominate this as the worst thread title in A2K history. To answer your question, Barack Hussein Obama used the Koran when he was sworn into the Illinois Senate.

The first Muslim elected to Congress, a gentleman named Keith Ellison, swore on the Koran instead of the Bible.

This was, of course, completely appropriate since the Koran is more sacred to Muslims than the Bible.

Even more appropriately, he used a Koran that originally belonged to Thomas Jefferson for the ceremony.

Actually, that's what I thought but then when I looked it up it seemed to be a myth.

He IS Muslim. But he doesn't seem to have used a Koran.

OK, just looked it up on Snopes and seems to be partly true. (I'd looked it up in the NYT before that and their emphasis was on the fact that no bibles or anything are actually used during swearing-in -- but he did pose for pictures afterwards with a Koran.)
