As Lola glides upstairs to that hypnotic voice, the others in the cafe are drifting into sweet dreams as the fire warms their hearts with sweet fellowship.

Walter, however, is finding his new friend to be a little restless. He asks Wassau for some lotus water to soothe her wild spirit--but not too much.

<pokes head thru doorway>

Hmmmm ... I sure have a knack for findin' places where a party used ta be ....

Oh, well ... Wassau ... I heard there'd be some Leinie's Creamy Dark Ale ... I'll have one, if you can find it, and a couple inches of Irish in a glass all by itself, if you would please.

Hey ... here's an appropriate song ... lemme see if I have some change for the jukebox. Yeah, cool .... here we go.

I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
You know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

Every morning just before breakfast
I don't want no coffee or tea
Just me and good buddy Wiser
That's all I ever need
'Cause I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

The other night I laid sleeping
And I woke from a terrible dream
So I caught up my pal Jack Daniel's
And his partner Jimmy Beam
And we drank alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

The other day I got invited to a party
But I stayed home instead
Just me and my pal Johnny Walker
And his brothers Black and Red
And we drank alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

My whole family done give up on me
And it makes me feel oh so bad
The only one who will hang out with me
Is my dear old granddad
And we drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself

On her way our of the Cafe HofT checks the computer screen in the study - all airports on Northeast shown in green, that's good news >>

http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/images/a_NE.gif

>> walking past the smoking room notices Timber, Walter, George OB fast asleep in their comfortable leather armchairs near the fireplace. A low table in front of them is covered with glasses, ashtrays with cigar stubs, phone books, playing cards, poker chips, and jars of makeup strangely matching the colors of the tiger lady, who is however nowhere to be seen. Firm believer in the principle of "ask no questions, you will hear no lies" HofT stacks phone books on top of deck of cards and poker chips, places blankets over the sleepers, asks Prissy to quietly remove glasses and ashtrays, and flies off for the week.

George decides to investigate while saying goodbye to HofT. Under a soft blanket, Diane is sleeping behind Dys, who still has pots of body paint nearby. Lola is VERY careful not to disturb the couple, not knowing what Diane might be wearing...or not wearing.

George hears clattering pots in the kitchen and wonderful aromas, so heads in to see what's for breakfast. Prissy and Wassau are fixing stuffed French toast and mushroom omelets with bacon direct from Dys's farm--the real thing, with no water added or antibiotics or growth hormones. George finds out what bacon really tastes like.

He might never leave.

Ah! This looks like just the place!

MY Love in her attire doth show her wit,
It doth so well become her:
For every season she hath dressings fit,
For Winter, Spring, and Summer.
No beauty she doth miss
When all her robes are on;
But Beauty's self she is
When all her robes are gone

Being the sucker for poetry that I am, I've saved the seat at the bar next to me for George. (Obiwan, that is...May the Force be with you. Laughing ) What luck...the seat on the other side of me is empty, too! Regular George, you sit here. Oh look, everybody, I'm a George sandwich tonight!...(heehee)

Interesting sandwich -- careful George, the mayonnaise in only on my side.

We should both beware - as the Irish bard said

A mermaid found a swimming lad,
Picked him for her own,
Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down
Forgot in cruel happiness
That even lovers drown.
