All of us know the latest victim of crisis in the credit markets of the world has become the fifth-largest British mortgage bank, Northern Rock. And although the Bank of England granted it emergency financing, panicked investors took over 28% of total deposits from the bank. And the British government decided to "put Northern Rock under its control". In other words, UK authorities have had to nationalize the ailing mortgage lender Northern Rock in spite of protests of angry shareholders and even the bank's own management.
Well, it seems to me present British government expresses unnatural concern for own citizens. See for yourself! In order to protect them from growing terrorist threats, British authorities decided to initiate total surveillance of all those, who live in the UK. And at the same time the UK continues officially grant political asylum for terrorists from every corner of the globe. To protect investors' and taxpayers' best interests in the case with Northern Rock, Brown's Cabinet decided to nationalize the bank for a temporary period, simultaneously curtailing rights of private sector of British economy and harming Britain's reputation as a reliable financial center in the world.
And, finally, with the knowledge of fast-growing official corruption Britons should realize that after the Northern Rock nationalization their bank's deposits will expose to greater danger than after realization previous business plan to buy the bank, returning it to private hands.
