It appears that Obama will attempt to deflect all criticisms of his vaguely described proposals, based on the added cost they will impose on public spending, by saying they will cost less than the war.
Given that we are where we are, and that it is not possible to go back to 2002, this is not a particularly useful or meaningful defense. Sadly, however, I expect it will work - at least among his remarkably enthusiastic supporters.
It wasn't easy to deflect the members Children's Crusade from their star-crossed venture during the 13th century, and it likely won't be any easier now.

Would it be asking too much, to ask you, to give us your credentials that allows you to assign us reading homework? The result, I would believe without any malice on your part, is our time is being treated rather flippantly. Naturally, some of us are not as important as you are; however, some of us in our mundane, humble lives, do have time commitments elsewhere.
